Evil Spirit (Avestan: Angra Mainyu, Middle Persian: Ahriman) is the supreme evil spirit in Zoroastrianism, the principle of destruction and falsehood (Druj). He opposes Spenta Mainyu and Ahura Mazda and is the source of disease, death, and evil. He is ultimately destined to be destroyed at the end of time (Frashkart).
